What a difference a bit of grout makes.

Over the last 8 days we have been having a bathroom refitted.  It was in real need for doing and I’ve wanted to change it since I moved here 11 years ago.

Now anyone whos had this done knows what its like.  First of all you have the enjoyment and confusion of chosing all the bits you want and then trying to choose tiles, whilst trying to picture it in your mind. Then the upheavel and the the lack of amenities.
We were happy we’d made a good choice of items and tiles and started to plan out the tiling.  Four hours later we still hadn’t worked out the best way to put the border tile around the room, balancing them evenly under the window and above units that were yet to be fitted.

Anyway, we sorted it and work started last week.  Now it is nearly done, or atleast nearly fully tiled and grouted.  It was all looking really good, then the grout was added and wow! It has really come to life and brought the mosiac tiles alive.  This makes the sound really bright and gaudy, but they are not.  They are simple grey, black, glass and chrome squares but the white grout shows them off!

Even when this was started last week we were still trying to find items, like a bath panel.  Simple you’d think, yes, if you want gloss white or wood, but we wanted something to match the style.  We found it eventually after hours or web trawlling.  I must have spent hours and hours looking for each item we ordered, but its worth it.

Its great and has worked out cheaper then going to a bathroom store to supply and fit. We might do some snazzy close-up photos too, just to play around with and post here.
