An Experiment in Bluring

I was inspired by an image I found on Flickr the other day and thought I would try a similar process myself.

The image that inspired me was one of Jenson Button Lucky Strike Honda F1 car. The original image was very plain and boring. The car was on display as Beaulieu, so had people and building structure around it, but the modified image had a radial blur added to it. In effect, it look like the car was zooming towards you, with the background zooming, but the car was static.

I decided to try it on my Escort Rally image taken at Goodwood. I let some of the blur cover the edge of the car, so it didn’t look too cutout, as this car was actually moving anyway.

This was the result.

New Images

I just haven’t been able to update the website enough recently with new images.

Last week I actually managed to add new images to the Europe section, but they are not in the Latest photo page yet.  I just don’t seem to have the time!

Visited the Isle of Wight on Sunday as it was nice, but still didn’t take any photos.  Didn’t make it to Winkworth either on Saturday, due to painting the bedroom.  I don’t think I have taken any photos this month, that has to be a first!
The Studio now just need filler and paint!  All the doors are up, lighting and electrics works too.  Hopefully now all the expense in there is done and I can move on to other things.

Studio Update

We now have all the ceiling paneling completed, 3 of the 4 doors hung, part of the walls and ceiling painted and both lights up! Its now beginning to look like a studio, instead of a paneled room! So a few more filler panels, 1 more door (plus outside door) and some plug fronts and it is done! Just then filling edges and painting then more painting!

New Studio

We finally got our studio lights just before we went on holiday and managed to do some tests with them last week.

This is good news, as the studio is nearly completed, although missing a few doors, it just needs a couple more panels, bit of filler and some paint!

This means we’ll be able to set up the lighting correctly and start trying out some studio work and still life!

We have a project lined up, which I am keen to get on with and to start getting results!

I’ll post a photo of the studio, when it is completed!
