1 Wedding, 2 Photographers, 3 Cameras & a Snow Shower!

Well after the busy week at was, I had a busy weekend too!

Saturday was the first joint wedding we photographed together. It was a long day but went very quickly! Although there was a lot of running around and making sure you were in the right place at the right time, it was also quite enjoyable. It was made easier by the fact that there were 2 of us and we had 3 cameras. At one stage I was carrying 2 cameras & camera bags around the venue!

We ended up getting home quite late and hoped for a quiet Sunday.

It Snowed!

So… Sunday morning, out with the cameras again! We knew we had to be quick as it had stopped snowing, which meant it wouldn’t last for long.

I was still hoping to catch a photo of a robin in the Snow (I think all photographers hope for that!) So we headed towards an area were I thought there might be one, having regularly seen one there in the past.

And there is was. Feeding on the ground, which was now mud, then it flew up on to the tree, quite distant, and backlight, but had possibilities. If only if would land on the gatepost… It did!

Then we were very lucky as if flew into the tree next to us, just far enough for the 100-400 to focus at minimal distance.

After a few more shots, and the snow beginning to melt a bit, we headed home to the warm and a rest!

A Sunday Walk, Followed by a Walk!

Wasn’t the weather good again last Sunday? It wasn’t what had been forecast. So after meeting up with a couple of friends for an early morning coffee, we walked along the Basingstoke Canal at Odiham & North Warnborough.

Although there isn’t too much too see there, the weather was nice and the cloud formations added some interest to the photos that might have just been a little boring. I know before when I was there the sun and clouds made the difference

So after this walk we thought it was too nice to head back home, so went to Fleet Pond and walked all the way around it! I hadn’t done that before so it was good to see some parts of the pond I hadn’t seen. As usual, there where lots of lots of Swans, and 1 Black Swan that had been there for a fews weeks.

One thing I like about Fleet Pond at the beginning and end months of the year, it that is has some excellent light late in the day.

It produces some lovely photos of swans and in this case the water and the reeds.

2 hours later we headed home, now thoroughly walked out.
