This weekend is the Goodwood Revival meeting, and I will be going along on Sunday. I went 2 years ago and throughly enjoyed it.
The revival differs from the festival of speed in that it is more of a period event, of 30′s 40′s 50′s & 60′s cars, instead of the more modern cars that attend the FOS. Also people dress up, so it adds to the overall feel of the event.
I’ll post a couple of pictures on here on Monday. I realised that I don’t have any from the last event on my site either.

Well now its been announced and we finally know what the spec is, I have decided to go for the new Canon 40D. I just hope any issues have been ironed out and it doesn’t suffer with anything that can’t be fixed by a quick firmware upgrade. In any case I will keep my 20D for a while as well. Just in case.
This is what it looks like. From the front there is no really difference, but its the back and of course the internals that have the major differences. Thats one advantage of not going for the 30D, the change now has more benefits!

On Sunday it was the Wings and Wheels event at Dunsfold. So, as planned I headed along there with my Step Brother.
We got to within 2 miles of the airfield and then sat in a traffic jam for 1.5 hours. By this time we were a bit fed up, so I got out and walked a bit to see if I could see how much further we had to go. A nice policeman told my an mile up that road, but gate 2 was empty. So, I ran back to the car and 5 minutes later we were in the ground! We couldn’t believe it! Just in time for the display. If we’d stayed in the queue, it could have been another hour!
After the problems I had at Biggin Hill I was very aware of all the settings on the camera and not playing too much with the shutter.
This time I was very pleased with the results, and although still having a few that didn’t work out, the majority were very good, and a few were exceptional!
I got some really nice Spitfire photos, and some of the Red Arrow images with the lighting were different to the normal one.
There were also some different types of aircraft that I hadn’t photographed before, or even seen flying, like the Mitchell, from the Dolittle raids in WWII.
Here are just a couple of the images, more will be added to the main website.

This Sunday is the Dunsfold Wings and Wheels event.
It was just over 2 years ago that I last went to it and this is where many of my aircraft images have come from, so I am hoping to improve on them and get some more good images.
The lineup of aircraft looks good with a couple of Spitfires (including the BBMF) and hurricanes as well as the Mustang and of course the Lancaster.
It will be a good chance to try and improve on the BBMF Spitfires that I took at Biggin Hill, as these weren’t too good. I did get good photos of the Lancaster coming towards you, but not as it was turning, so I few things to work on and look for.
So I’m looking forward to it. I must remember to watch my shutter speed this time, but after the errors last time, I’m sure I will be more aware!
